For five decades Laszlo Birinyi has been sharing his thoughts on the stock market. First at Salomon Brothers as the de facto strategist, where he was responsible for the firm’s weekly stock market commentary. While at Salomon Brothers Laszlo published numerous stock market studies including trading costs and volatility. He also created the Salomon/Russell International indices. His insightful trading manual, The Equity Desk, was cited in Michael Lewis’ Liar’s Poker.
In 1989 he left Salomon Brothers and formed Birinyi Associates and from 1990 through 2003, he was a panelist on Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street Week. Laszlo was inducted into Wall Street Week’s Hall of Fame in April 1999.
In 2013 Laszlo put pen to paper and published The Master Trader: Birinyi’s Secrets to Understanding the Market which is available on Amazon.
